Another fun read by Lynsay Sands and the Argeneau Family！ Mile High with a Vampire brings us the story of Quinn， who was turned into an immortal without permission by her husband。 It has taken her four years since her turn to start to come to grips with the event and is now ready to try to move on and accept who she is now。 Jet， a pilot for the Argeneau family， first met Quinn on a flight 4 years earlier and has been obsessing over her ever since。 If you are a fan of the series， we all know what Another fun read by Lynsay Sands and the Argeneau Family！ Mile High with a Vampire brings us the story of Quinn， who was turned into an immortal without permission by her husband。 It has taken her four years since her turn to start to come to grips with the event and is now ready to try to move on and accept who she is now。 Jet， a pilot for the Argeneau family， first met Quinn on a flight 4 years earlier and has been obsessing over her ever since。 If you are a fan of the series， we all know what this means！ After surviving a plane crash together they are instantly thrown into a race for their lives from immortals who were severely injured and desperately need blood to recover。 The instant tension brings things to a quick head for the couple， who then need to work together to try to figure out who’s trying to kill who and why that all began with the plane crash。 Quinn has some deep seeded trauma that she has buried that will play a major role in how things work out between the two。 I will say， I think this is the first book that I have read in this long running series where the Immortal wasn’t sure they even wanted a life-mate。 I enjoyed the story， though I do have to say，，with this being book number 33 in the series I am finding them to be a bit less gripping than I did with the earlier books in the series。 It was still a good read， but it just didn’t grab me the way some of the earlier couples did。 Maybe it's because now we are getting the story of people that we don’t already have a connection to as we did when we first started reading about the family。 Either way， if you like the author， you will enjoy the time you spend back in her world。 。。。more

It’s been a little while， probably years， since I’ve read this author， but I decided to pick this one up to dive back into the world。 I was immediately drawn into the Argeneau world almost like I hadn’t left。 Jet and Quinn were such a cute couple， it was hard not to root for them。 Along with the great writing and interesting characters （and seeing ones I hadn’t seen in years）， I was pretty much engrossed for the whole book。 While I am not as much into strictly romance anymore， I still really enj It’s been a little while， probably years， since I’ve read this author， but I decided to pick this one up to dive back into the world。 I was immediately drawn into the Argeneau world almost like I hadn’t left。 Jet and Quinn were such a cute couple， it was hard not to root for them。 Along with the great writing and interesting characters （and seeing ones I hadn’t seen in years）， I was pretty much engrossed for the whole book。 While I am not as much into strictly romance anymore， I still really enjoyed myself。 I had definitely forgotten what a fantastic writer this author is。 This is a well-written paranormal romance， and I recommend this book and series to anyone who is into this genre！ I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed。 。。。more

I started reading this while my husband watched Predator- so the first chapter’s suspense factor was rocketed up with that in the background！ Quinn wakes up to her plane crashing in the wilds of Canada。 Jet， the mortal pilot， and her need to get somewhere safe before the injured vampires on the plane get to him in their madness。During their escape they realize they’re life mates， but Quinn can barely accept that she’s an immortal， she’s not ready for a life mate。I love how this book is yet anoth I started reading this while my husband watched Predator- so the first chapter’s suspense factor was rocketed up with that in the background！ Quinn wakes up to her plane crashing in the wilds of Canada。 Jet， the mortal pilot， and her need to get somewhere safe before the injured vampires on the plane get to him in their madness。During their escape they realize they’re life mates， but Quinn can barely accept that she’s an immortal， she’s not ready for a life mate。I love how this book is yet another different build up to a relationship than the previous books in the series。 Sands keeps each book fresh when things could get redundant over time。 But this book had me flipping pages （metaphorically， I was on my kindle）。 I loved the focus on mental health and the funny moments that had me giggling， a straight laced Lucien getting yelled at always has me smiling！ 。。。more

Mile High with a Vampire begins with Quinn Peters asleep on a flight aboard an Argeneau jet。 She awakens to loud noises and debris flying everywhere。 The next thing she sees is the ground rushing up to meet them and a gaping hole in the side of the plane。 She hears an engine start and then the plane leveled out as it tore through the woods and slammed to an abrupt stop。 Thankful to be alive， she speaks with another who is on the plane， and they check on the ones still aboard。Jet Lassiter comes t Mile High with a Vampire begins with Quinn Peters asleep on a flight aboard an Argeneau jet。 She awakens to loud noises and debris flying everywhere。 The next thing she sees is the ground rushing up to meet them and a gaping hole in the side of the plane。 She hears an engine start and then the plane leveled out as it tore through the woods and slammed to an abrupt stop。 Thankful to be alive， she speaks with another who is on the plane， and they check on the ones still aboard。Jet Lassiter comes to and sees that the plane is on the ground， but also sees that his friend and mentor had been killed on impact。 Jeff Miller had been a great pilot and Jet would miss him terribly。 The next thing he saw was a “she-pire” （why in the world would an Argeneau employee ever use that word？？？） approaching Jeff and he yells at her to get away from him。 When Quinn turns toward him， he immediately recognizes her and knows a little bit of her story。 If he were being honest with himself， she had starred in a fantasy or two of his， but first things first………。 they must get away from the wreckage before the other immortals who were horribly injured in the crash come to and look for the only thing that can help them: blood。 Even though Quinn was immortal， Jet wasn’t， and she knew she’d never be able to keep them off him。Quinn and Jet put as much distance as possible between themselves， the wreckage and the three immortals who were bound to be coming after them。 As they navigate the forest around them， they are both aware they are running out of time。 They eventually make it to an outpost of sorts that has a small crew of people working there。 To say they have their work cut out for them trying to secure the facility， its people and themselves is an understatement。 They do what they can until the calvary arrives。 What neither of them expected was the pull they have towards each other。 However， once they are taken to the enforcer house， things begin to make more sense， even though they both resist at first。 Mile High with a Vampire is a nice addition to the series。 I really liked Quinn and Jet’s character development。 I just wish there had been more conversation and less of them with their own thoughts。 Quinn’s backstory ends up having a lot more layers than we initially learned of in a previous book。 The chemistry between Quinn and Jet started slow but soon blossomed into what you expect from Sands。 I always love getting to see the characters we’ve come to know and love over the last thirty-two books （this being the thirty-third）。 If you’re a fan of the genre and a fan of Sands， you’ll certainly enjoy this one！ Well done， Lynsay Sands！ Very well done！ 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 First- I wanna say that I loved this book！ It was super special to see this woman who was scared and scarred try to help while she was completely unprepared。 She’s terrified and she just keeps trying。 That is a special person。 That woman who fights the fight that she may not be able to win but she is fighting anyway？ That’s the kind of woman I want to be。 Then， you have a mortal man who is crazy about her and he’s been crazy about her for a long time。 And all he’s been able to do is watch。 And b First- I wanna say that I loved this book！ It was super special to see this woman who was scared and scarred try to help while she was completely unprepared。 She’s terrified and she just keeps trying。 That is a special person。 That woman who fights the fight that she may not be able to win but she is fighting anyway？ That’s the kind of woman I want to be。 Then， you have a mortal man who is crazy about her and he’s been crazy about her for a long time。 And all he’s been able to do is watch。 And be confused。 Because it’s just hard to talk to a girl in mourning。 But it’s also really hard to have all this want and need and gotta have her now feelings about a person that you’ve never interacted with。 I’m gonna say it again- he’s never interacted with her yet he’s basically obsessively in love with the woman。 She has all the issues。 Basically， if you added flour and water to her issues you would have the biggest crap flavored birthday cake around。 She’s just now coming out of the “my significant other went hella insane and now I’m a vampire and my kids a vampire” kind of fog of denial and starting to live again！ That’s when， ya know， Marguerite starts getting involved。 Because it’s how the whole thing rolls。 It’s more complex here。 She’s got a kid。 And she’s worried about him。 And how he will react。 They are on an island… oh， crap， I didn’t mention that。 Yeah。 So they are stranded on an island and no blood available and they are being chased down by rabid scary blood starved immortals hell bent on drinking someone dry。 So here’s our best guy- a walking bag of O Neg and our best girl- who has no clue how to kick butt or do much more than walk trying to outrun bad ass Egyptian enforcers who are injured and starved for blood。 It’s just a great story and I really loved every stranded on a island with people chasing you part of the story。 Even though I forgot to mention it till the very end。 Hugs and love and check out this awesome book on Sept 28， 2021 For more of this review or to read other reviews， check out @audioloversblog on FB。 Make today the best you can and remember that today is someone’s best day ever， and smile just a little for them。 *hugs* Kim 。。。more

This review was originally posted on Addicted To RomanceI received this book for free from Avon in exchange for an honest review。 This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review。 Mile High With A Vampire is the newest addition to the Argeneau series and it had the same tones of flair， humor， and action that we have come to expect from this series and this author。 I actually had a fun time with this book and while it's not the most impressionable of the recent b This review was originally posted on Addicted To RomanceI received this book for free from Avon in exchange for an honest review。 This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review。 Mile High With A Vampire is the newest addition to the Argeneau series and it had the same tones of flair， humor， and action that we have come to expect from this series and this author。 I actually had a fun time with this book and while it's not the most impressionable of the recent books in the series， I found myself entertained and quite drawn into the series and this unique pairing。 I will say that the pair that we come to know in this book is not your typical couple， and quite frankly at first， I had no clue how Lynsay Sands would make them work but somehow by the end they just fit right for each other so bravo to this author for redeeming them in such an equal fair way for me。 Mile Hi With A Vampire features: Jet Lassiter-Pilot， military background， martial arts training， aware of immortals and works for Bastien and company。 Quinn Peters-Asian （Chinese） descent， single mother， new to being vampire（immortal） Mile High With A Vampire sets off with Jet and Quinn sharing a flight with a few other vampires but during their journey their plane crashes， there are injuries of other vampires who once awaken will be full of blood lust。 With Jet being mortal his life is in peril from those that will be going insane with blood lust。 Quinn is instructed to take Jet and run as far as they can find a way to contact Bastien or Lucien and wait for help to arrive。 As they flee into the mountains they will have to rely on each other's strengths to get them through the ordeal。 But through their journey in the mountains， they start to connect as lifemates， passing through each other's dreams。 Even though Quinn is the one with vampire immortal like strength she is green to her world。 She has kept herself locked away for years， hiding from the trauma of her past and the truth of her new identity。 It is Jet that keeps them focused and helps her with her abilities and knowledge。 But as they fight their way to staying alive and protecting the mortal who aids them， their bond will strengthen。 But Quinn will have to come to face with her past and fight for the man who loves her deeply。 But will her past and that which haunts her keep her from finalizing their connection and push away this strong gentle man away forever？ Mile High With A Vampire was such a different romance than I have come to expect from this author。 And yes we have seen these types of pairings occasionally with Lynsay Sands before which features the heroine being the vampire and the hero being the mortal （human）。 But this one was different in that even though our heroine is the vampire， she is new and has neglected to learn about who she has become。 I did love seeing the depths of her past come to light and seeing her face up to that。 And our hero is no weakling either。 He has a history of military service and martial arts training， so he is more than capable in many ways。 He is the solid and true one in the relationship but also will stand up for himself。 He lets Quinn know when she is treating him wrong and sets healthy boundaries for their relationship， and Quinn has to really face up to her own actions especially in how she treats him， and re-evaluate her decisions。 I really loved seeing this aspect in their relationship。So。。。I'm not perfect。 No one is。 We're all just doing the best we can。 However， I think you're brilliant， beautiful， a wonderful mother， and perfect for me Seeing the growth in Quinn was truly phenomenal and I admire the way it played out in this story。 I also had a blast with other secondary characters and we got some laughs with Lucien。 Man， he cracks me up every time he comes into one of these books。 I LOVE it。 As he is one of my favorites of the series， His dry sense of humor just added the right flair to the story and had me having bursts of laughter in all the best of ways。 Overall I found Mile High With A Vampire is a fascinating， high thrilling adventure of a romance， that takes us through the forests， a perfect fit love story that delves into deeper issues， with diverse characters， laughter and light to balance it through it all。 A true piece of art that only Lynsay Sands can deliver。 。。。more
